To help you target the most relevant information, you are encouraged to join a Constituent Group, which provides focused, in-depth information and connects you with professionals who share your specific concerns. You can choose one or more of the following eight groups; there is no additional charge for constituent group membership.
Connect with business colleagues through BFA, a unique business-to-business network focused on understanding the characteristics of the mature market and the needs of employers as the workforce ages.
FoRSA focuses on the search for a sense of meaning and value in later life. The forum is a nondenominational and multidisciplinary community interested in religious and spiritual support for older adults.
HAN brings together professionals working to promote innovative approaches to healthcare for older adults. Members represent a variety of settings including physician groups; hospitals, healthcare systems and health plans; long-term care; care/case management; and organizations involved in coordinating or integrating Medicare and Medicaid benefits.
LAIN provides a forum for the exchange of information about research, practice and policy relating to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) aging. LAIN brings together professionals in the field as well as LGBT elders to advocate for the needs of this underserved population. The network welcomes all concerned individuals without regard to sexual orientation.
LEARN supports lifelong learning and educational opportunities for older adults, and promotes networking and information exchange regarding model programs, policy developments, applied research and key resources.
MHAN brings together gerontologists and other professionals to enhance the effectiveness of mental health services for older adults. MHAN advances the agenda of elders with mental health needs in acute and long-term care, and in mental health, rehabilitation and aging services.
NOMA provides you with training, technical assistance and support as you prepare your organization to serve older people from a range of ethnicities and cultures.
Members of the Network on Environments, Services and Technologies for Maximizing Independence (NEST) provide services or conduct research in senior housing, leisure and recreational programs, rehabilitation and healthcare programs, long term care (including nursing facilities and assisted living) and many other community settings. We share a common goal: maximizing functional capacity and promoting independence through appropriately designed environments, services and technologies.
